CLOSET DESIGN

When designing a closet there are a couple of steps that one must take in the design process. It is best first to survey all of the clothes and 'stuff' that will go into the new closet. Sometimes it is wishful thinking what you can get in but we always tell our clients that the closet can certainly be maximized but it is not a magic lamp that will expand the closet in size :-)

We typically start by inserting a nice drawer system in a central location and working a way out. Aesthetics are central to the design and then functionality follows closely behind. After all it is always a person's dream to have a nice walk in or reach in closet. The addition of some glass doors above a closet hutch unit is always nice and some crown molding to finish it off nicely. We finished a beautiful closet with these design parameters in a Fairfax Station Home a few weeks ago and the client was ecstatic. The flow and symmetry of the closet is also important which automatically invokes a calmness which we could all do with about off in this day and age. To Eco-nize your closet is supposed to be a relaxing experience. Let's have some fun!

A NEW ECO-NIZE DESIGN IN YOUR PANTRY CLOSET CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERANCE

We recently designed a new Pantry system for a new client and they were very surprised with the options from a design perspective that they were able to get. New options includes wonderful pull out wicker baskets on slides, custom made wine racks, custom drawers and also an area to hang their glasses from the stem. The client previously had 18" deep shelves but they complained that it was difficult to see what was at the back of their pantry. This resulted in buying to much food at the store as the client was not sure what they had. We modified their pantry and changed it to a 96" high system and they were over the moon. We extended the height of the pantry giving more space and the depth also allowed more breathing room in the pantry itself.

The client was very happy with the final Pantry Design.

Do you have a Pantry you would like us to take a look at?

It is a Free No Hassle Design Consultation!

IS YOUR LIFE GETTING CRAZIER BY THE DAY!

Hi,

Question of the day. Is it just me or is my work life getting crazier and crazier. I want to go back to a simple life style with simple things. That is the main reason why Econize Closets was set up as I believe that we need to make our daily lives more and more efficient so that we can get more time for our children and family lives. Does this make sense or am I in a world of my own on this one?

My second reason to start a closet design company was to educate consumers on the green nature of our products. Why would a consumer not want to use our products? They are wonderfully functional, beautiful, can be used in any application (garage, pantry, laundry, mudroom, walk-in closet, reach-in closet, media center) and most of all they are priced lower than other not so green products. It is a win-win situation for our clients.

I love listening to our clients when we complete a wardrobe that has been a mess for such a long time. It is not unusual to get a call from a client a few months after they have received new custom closets just raving about how much it has changed their lives for the better.
