Forterra Product Launch

We are very excited about our long awaited product launch of Forterra™. This new line blends bold form and sustainability to create sleek, modern storage and organizational solutions. Forterra features engineered structured panels that deliver remarkable strength and sophistication with thicker, longer designs that have been unachievable until now.
Clean, modern design.

Extraordinary strength-to-weight ratio
The secret is the substance. An innovative honeycomb cell structure is bonded between the market’s most robust panel skins, which are more than double the thickness of those in other bonded-skin panels. This exclusive design allows surfaces to span up to 60” long horizontally and up to 2” thick—dimensions that can cause traditional composite panels to sag without necessary vertical interruptions to support them.

Sustainable, durable solutions
We understand that designing sustainable solutions means creating products that are durable, long-lasting and a smart investment for you. By creating more substance with less material, Forterra delivers elegantly-bold design while saving forest-based resources. Forterra panels showcase the power of sustainability—produced with recycled content and meeting the low emission requirements of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Phase II standards.

ECONIZE SOLID WOOD CLOSET ELEGANCE

Hi. Just attaching some photos of a recent project Econize did in Reston Virginia. The solid wood closet is our Williamsburg Cherry option and it really turned out super nice. It was actually profiled in Washington Spaces magazine in January 2009. The client wanted the fluted molding option and also the decorative end panels which make it look really custom. The project was completed in partnership with Encompass Design Build of Vienna, VA. Some of the finishes on this custom closet included granite countertops, low voltage LED lights in the hutches, decorative end panelling, fluted molding around the entry doors, custom closet back panelling, bubbled cathedral style glass doors, dentil crown molding along with many closet accessories including a concealed tilt out ironing board, valet rods, belt racks, hamper units, tie racks and shoe storage as well. Thanks for checking in.

CLOSET DESIGN

When designing a closet there are a couple of steps that one must take in the design process. It is best first to survey all of the clothes and 'stuff' that will go into the new closet. Sometimes it is wishful thinking what you can get in but we always tell our clients that the closet can certainly be maximized but it is not a magic lamp that will expand the closet in size :-)

We typically start by inserting a nice drawer system in a central location and working a way out. Aesthetics are central to the design and then functionality follows closely behind. After all it is always a person's dream to have a nice walk in or reach in closet. The addition of some glass doors above a closet hutch unit is always nice and some crown molding to finish it off nicely. We finished a beautiful closet with these design parameters in a Fairfax Station Home a few weeks ago and the client was ecstatic. The flow and symmetry of the closet is also important which automatically invokes a calmness which we could all do with about off in this day and age. To Eco-nize your closet is supposed to be a relaxing experience. Let's have some fun!
