Garage organizing

The garage is usually a catch all for the things that don't have a place inside our homes because they are too big to fit inside or they are too dirty to be allowed inside. Typically when something is put in the garage it is stuck in the first place that is open and as a result it creates clutter. This is accentuated by extreme weather conditions when it's too hot or too cold to be in the garage. Having an organized garage can make it easier and simpler to keep this area clean.

It is recommended to keep things in the garage up and off of the floor because of the nature of garages getting wet from rain and snow, muddy boots etc... this can be done by having cabinets with feet to elevate them and which accommodate for natural slopes of garage floors for drainage. Slatwall systems with hooks and baskets make it easy to put things away and in their proper place too.

It is also a great idea to organize storage of kids toys and balls at a lower level so they can access them easily.

Finally, many families have found that having a shoe rack in the garage makes a significant impact on the amount of dirt that is tracked inside and helps reduce the need for cleaning as often.
Having a garage that is well organized will help the rest of your home to stay not only organized but cleaner too.

Forterra Product Launch

We are very excited about our long awaited product launch of Forterra™. This new line blends bold form and sustainability to create sleek, modern storage and organizational solutions. Forterra features engineered structured panels that deliver remarkable strength and sophistication with thicker, longer designs that have been unachievable until now.
Clean, modern design.

Extraordinary strength-to-weight ratio
The secret is the substance. An innovative honeycomb cell structure is bonded between the market’s most robust panel skins, which are more than double the thickness of those in other bonded-skin panels. This exclusive design allows surfaces to span up to 60” long horizontally and up to 2” thick—dimensions that can cause traditional composite panels to sag without necessary vertical interruptions to support them.

Sustainable, durable solutions
We understand that designing sustainable solutions means creating products that are durable, long-lasting and a smart investment for you. By creating more substance with less material, Forterra delivers elegantly-bold design while saving forest-based resources. Forterra panels showcase the power of sustainability—produced with recycled content and meeting the low emission requirements of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Phase II standards.

ECONIZE SOLID WOOD CLOSET ELEGANCE

Hi. Just attaching some photos of a recent project Econize did in Reston Virginia. The solid wood closet is our Williamsburg Cherry option and it really turned out super nice. It was actually profiled in Washington Spaces magazine in January 2009. The client wanted the fluted molding option and also the decorative end panels which make it look really custom. The project was completed in partnership with Encompass Design Build of Vienna, VA. Some of the finishes on this custom closet included granite countertops, low voltage LED lights in the hutches, decorative end panelling, fluted molding around the entry doors, custom closet back panelling, bubbled cathedral style glass doors, dentil crown molding along with many closet accessories including a concealed tilt out ironing board, valet rods, belt racks, hamper units, tie racks and shoe storage as well. Thanks for checking in.
